Last night, our CEO Connie was awarded the Young Energy Professionals Customer Champion 2025 Award! It was judged by Priya Brahmbhatt-Patel of Ofgem, and of the 300 people in the room, she was the only one from the community energy space (and proud to represent our sector!). It was awarded to the candidate who has ensured the customer is placed front and centre in their work on behalf of the company. She was also shortlisted for the Young Energy Professional of the Year! Connie had this to say:

“I am over the moon to have won this award on behalf of Croydon Community Energy! I was up against other incredible Young Energy Professionals, all worthy

of this award. To me, our customers are our volunteers, our members, the people at our solar sites, the residents we support with free energy advice, our board and our wonderful community. I set up CCE because of a genuine drive to help Croydon accelerate

towards net zero and take everyone along with us. I will continue to put our customers first, and want to say a huge thanks to the Young Energy Professionals Network for this huge honour!”.

Award winners celebrate on stage, holding trophies under a screen with "Congratulations to all the winners" text. Joyful and festive mood.
